Governor Pastika is proud Bali is berthed by Chili Warship Esmeralda

Governor of Bali Made Mangku Pastika expressed his pride when warship Esemeralda owned by Chili’s Navy berths in this island of Gods. He conveyed when accepting the group which was headed by the Ambassador of Chili for Indonesia Gonzalo Mendoza in his office on Thursday (6/10). “Many warship from across countries have been visited Bali, it makes Bali is proud as a tourism destination,” said him. 
Generally, Pastika explained Bali’s condition to all members of group. He said that with 0,29% of large of total area of Indonesia, Bali is too small in this archipelago, however the number tourist visit to this island is highest in this country. “Every year 10 million tourist visit Indonesia and 4 million of them choose Bali,” added him. He admitted that happened cause the uniqueness of Balinese tradition, culture and its society as well. “Balinese people are familiar with the tourists, they have been used to warmly welcome so that the tourist like staying here,” explained him. 
Besides these factors, the most important is the good quality of security in Bali which always being a consideration while on vacation. For the group, Pastika convinced that Bali has a good security system. It is proven when Bali has succeeded being a host for several international events like APEC, WTO Summit and Miss World. “We have succeeded hosting international events with hight system of security. Even though we have ever missed by 1st and 2nd Bali Bombing tragedy, but we always try to increase the system in order to make a sense of security for society as well as for tourist,” explained him who was also accompanied by Head of Tourism Agency Anak Agung Gede Yuniartha, head of Fishier and Marine Agency Made Gunaja and Head of PR Agency of Bali Provincial government I Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra. 
Meanwhile the captain Carlos Schnaldt, said that this is for the 4th times Esmeralda visit Bali, but as a captain this is his 1st moment to come to this island. Last time this legendary warship berthed to this island in 2012, 2 weeks before 1st Bali bombing tragedy. He added Esmeralda is 61 years old, and has been crossed the sea for several time in order to escort the cadets and marines to learn about ocean and also the defense. With 3.600 gross ton of weight and 114 meters of lengthy, Esmeralda now accommodates 330 cadets and has been sailed for 3,5 month. The ship which is just berthed on 9.30 AM in Benoa harbor previously departed from Singapore and then will continued sail to Sydney, Australia on next Monday, and will arrive to its country on next January. Meanwhile for the agenda in Bali, the group is scheduled visit several tourist destinations and historical venues like Ubud and others places and to learn Balinese culture and established the communication with Indonesian navy at the same time. “I hope the crew will get new experience as well as be able to transfer the knowledge with Indonesia Navy in Bali,” concluded him. 
Responding that, Governor Pastika really appreciated and expected the crew enjoy their journey in Bali “Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs for your family and friends, and hope this visit will be continued by next visit,” concluded him.
