Interested On India’s Tourist Opportunity, Bali’s Government Want To Open Direct Flight

As world tourism destination, India’s people also interest choosing Bali and its beauty as favorite destination. However, there is no direct flight connecting Bali and India, so market opportunity from East Asia is not maximal. To spending holiday in Bali, tourist from India should flight to Kualalumpur, Singapore or Hongkong before.It was conveyed by India’s Ambassador Nengcha Lhouvum Mukhopadhaya when meeting with Vice Governor of Bali Ketut Sudikerta in governor office on Monday (20/6). That discuses had gotten an appreciation by vice governor Sudikerta who was also accompanied by head of tourism agency of Bali provincial government A.A Gede Yuniartha Putra. According to him through the opening of direct flight, we can not only shorten the time but also reduce the cost. So Sudikerta promised to follow up the plan with state-own airline Garuda Indonesia and others private airlines as well. He also said to more intensify the promotion of Bali tourism through travel agent and promote Bali’s handicraft as well. “With the opening of direct flight, I sure that more Indian people will come to Bali,” added him.  Ambassador Nengcha who was also accompanied by consulate general of India R.O Sunil Babu explained that tourists from Bali visit India is more increasing, especially for spiritual travel or for study in famous University in India. The new Ambassador Nengchan also added that between Bali and India has established the cooperation for the long time. One of cooperation is short course program with about 3 weeks and 6 month ofduration in culture, language and information technology field. These courses are fully funded by India government. Regarding that program, Sudikerta appreciated the opportunity offered by India. He expected Balinese people could take that chance in order to increase human resources of Bali.
